Navigate to:
- [jenkins_url]/safeRestart. – This will restart Jenkins after the current builds have been completed.
- [jenkins_url]/restart – This will force a restart. Builds will not wait to complete.

Thanks for the post, Samuel. Helped me a lot when I have to do it on a remote Jenkins server. Is there a visible link on the Jenkins web UI for restarting? I can only see “Prepare for Shutdown”
